The inventors, Jerry Klingner and James Falk collaborated on many innovations and ideas for products they dreamed of. Jerry and his family regularly attended church. However, the necessity of getting Jerry’s mother to communion always presented a challenge. As she was somewhat disabled and it was difficult for her to get around easily.
The original concept was to develop a self-communion delivery system with instructions. The self-communion would include; a small bible and cross. Communion could then be received at any time and any place. Throughout the development of the communion packet, Jerry’s mother passed away. However, this did not stop Jerry and James from continuing to develop a self-communion distribution system.
With the most recent concern of spreading germs, it has become apparent that a germ free way to receive communion must be developed. As there are many people that do not receive communion because of the chance of getting sick or catching someone else’s germs. People by the thousands were starting to stay away from communion because of the germs. The church community needed a solution and Purity just happened to have the solution.
